Embassy Burning Competition Announced

The Tehran municipality newspaper HAMSHAHRI is going to publish Holocaust cartoons, in order to test the limits of free expression.

So... they want to get competitive. I think we can rise to the challenge - we Jews can get pretty damn rowdy when provoked. I'm thinking of firing off a letter to the editor about it myself. Yes, I said 'fire'.

We'll beed to keep a careful running tally of the number of embassy's burned and lives foreshortened in response to the upcoming publications. But I think that as Muslims outnumber Jews 60:1, its only reasonable to add a multiplier to the Jewish score.

So far:

Mohammed Cartoons

Embassies burned: 3 (Syria, Lebanon, Iran)
Deaths: 6 - 3 in Afganistan and 1 each in Somalia and Turkey

I wish I could read Farsi so I knew what this picture from HAMSHAHRI is supposed to represent:

by the way, 3 deaths in afghanistan + 1 in Somalia + 1 in Turkey equal only 5 deaths.
with math like this we are never going to beat the Muslims, multiplier or no.

i think its an infidel asteroid learning some respect for the prophet.
sorry about the math... i think its unclear how many are really dead - very sad ; over a cartoon in a paper they'll never read...

Barbarians. They'll be off once oil is no longer important - if that day comes. Once (and IF) oil is replaced as an energy source, the valliant angry Arabs will tend to the donkeys in no time in a sea of rusting disabled Mercedes cars. Most Arab countries are nothing without oil.

We just have to hang tough until then...

actually i think the jpost should challenge hamshari.

the jpost should agree to publish the 'winning dozen' antisemitic cartoons, on the condition that hamshari reproduces a dozen cartoons of the jpost's choice.

(1) it would be instructive to disseminate the kind of revolting crap the arab world routinely puts out.

(2) it would be a joy to have published in an iranian official paper cartoons mocking the iranian leadership and the violence it fosters.

(3) assuming the editors of hamshari will be too afraid to go ahead, it will highlight the captivity of the press in the arab world.
