How this Blog was Silenced

3 factors:

1. Blogger changed their software and made me login with a Google account. This brought home to me the fact that my blog is hosted by part of the axis of evil and made me sad.

2. Verizon took almost a month after we moved to connect our phone. No internet at home except for the few radio waves I could eke out of my neighbour's connection by standing with one foot on top of a closet.

3. Linux is ugly and deters me from browsing. The fonts are ghastly and the windows hog the desktop.

1. google's corporate slogan is "don't be evil". they are just nosey.

2. no comment

3. don't malign linux. i use firefox in mandriva and it is indistinguishable from firefox in mac os and windoze. methinks your problem lies elsewhere.

Quote from ZDnet

Also new are its advanced graphics rendering capabilities. Firefox 3 uses open-source vector graphics (code-named Cairo, and formerly known as Xr) to provide high-quality display and print rendering. Currently Cairo supports output produced by X Windows, OpenGL, Quartz, Win32, in-memory image buffers, PNG images, PostScript and PDF files. Cairo attempts to reproduce identical images on all output media (paper, disc drives and such) and use hardware acceleration where possible to improve images on display screens.
