Personally, I'm comfortable being a tofu-hawk...

but, still, this is a hilarious repost to the 'chickenhawk' accusation.

i agree, but only to a point. the "chicken hawk" critique could still be appropriately levied against leaders who are directing our military without any service history or firsthand knowledge.

ah yes, but the tofuhawk label? i think not.

but the arguemtn that only leaders with military experience should make decisions like invading iraq, applies of course to the decision to both use and to not use the military in a particular circumstance. in other words, it suggests that only ex-army people should be president.

but there we have a problem... doesn't it mean that only former teachers are qualified to allocate budget dollars toward educatoin? astronauts should be in charge of deciding how much to spend on space research?

the confusion is over the moral question about whether to use a resource and the strategic implementing of the resource. the former is best decided by an elected leader, the latter is best decided by experts in a particular field.
